Starting this thread to document my newest project of a Stealth Cyberman. Granted this cyberman was only in 1 episode, I decided long ago if I built any classic cybermen, this would be the one.
Last night the plans were in place to build the suit. Today, I am shopping for materials to start the process. This build will take a little more time then normal because I will be relocating in the next month or two. So for now I am getting the process started by gathering the materials and taking the steps to start the overall suit.

Status Update (will edit as things move forward): 1) Helmet - In production. 2) Y-Neck - In production - need to identify the bullet trays and try to locate some. Was given an alternate item to use, so may look into it when time comes to finish it up. 3) Gloves - Nothing identical yet. 4) Boots - No RAF boots anywhere... Ordered the closest thing I have ever seen, Canadian Mutluks from a nice place in BC area of Canada. $25.00 and $23.00 shipping. Next cheapest set of boots is $65.00 not including shipping. 5) Suit - Have all construction items needed. Will start constructing in the future. 6) Gun - In work by one of our members here who is also making one for himself. Will have to research the colors of the gun used by the scout/stealth cyberman since it does have a slightly different look.

I have now purchased all the items I need to make the suit itself. I have decided to put this project on hold until most likely after the holidays since I am trying to pack for my move and don't want my work to be destroyed.
Any suggestions for gloves or the bullet trays welcome. I have no idea what bullet the trays are actually from.

I have moved to North Carolina now and kinda disappointed that so far I have seen no evidence of DW cosplay. The meetup group for the Raleigh-Durham area seems to be like the last one I was in where it is basically about watching the show and nobody communicates. So guess I am back to square one here. Think I will start up a meetup group for cosplay and see if I can draw some interest or find others who are just not identified.
Been trying to find a white cotton coverall and so far no luck. Will keep searching this week as I am trying to catch up on homework for school and also waiting on my household goods so I can get back into the swing of things. Hopefully by the end of next week I will be up and running. Can't wait to start updating with work on the suit.

Newest update.... Have full helmet and chest piece. Need to cut out the mouth, ears, etc. Some other adjustments also to make it fit better. Mutluk boots are a bit big, but comfy. Gloves I just got off ebay and paid more then I wanted...so will try to find some others cheaper and then put them back on ebay and try to get my money back. If I don't find anything though...they are going to be used. One of the best pairs I have seen so far.

It's fiberglass, though I have never seen yellow like that before. Must be a UK thing. Handlebars and upper piece of the helmet I am not sure. They feel like a solid plastic, but not 100% sure. I could find out, I just didn't ask since it came from somebody with a lot of old Who connections and I was told it is from an old mold.

OHH that would be great! I have just been so out of it the last week. I need to start working on this setup soon or I will feel the pressure of not working on it.

I sent him a message and he will sell me a new helmet. I asked about the cybus style to see if I could get one that fit better then the voice changer, but he has not responded back yet. He plans to have a new suit completed before the air date of the Gaiman episode.

Today I am cutting up the boiler suit and going to have my g/f glue the pieces into place so I can start attaching the piping.
Been on a diet because I want to but also to see if it helps me fit into the chest piece. Must be working since I can now put the chest piece on. Now if the temps would warm up enough for me to work outside I would be happy to move forward. I hate not posting decent status reports at least once every week or two.

Finally had a good weekend for some outside work. Finished sanding all the parts, added some filler but not much since the originals were pretty dinged up and I wanted to keep as much of the original look as possible. Put some paint on the parts and hope to assemble some of it tomorrow. Will take pics once I have more assembly done.

Wow, I have spoken to him a few times in email and seemed pretty cool. That thread really makes me weary of buying anything now. Thanks for sharing it. Seems more and more folks making Who items are like that recently on RPF. Not that there are many of them anywhere, but makes it hard to trust people who have not been recommended to be prior to. Well, at least I have my classic in work now and my new series suit that needs repair now... but at least I have them here with me and they are good enough to keep me happy I think. Plus I will have a Dalek at the end of the year to learn to drive... so my costuming days may be numbered as far as new projects. Between Dalek, Cybermen (x2) and Captain Jack (x2) I am going to be pretty busy lol. That is not even including things I make for the lady.
Oh, and not sure if you saw the build thread on Cybermen Builders Group but Toby is planning to be at Chicago with the new cyberman suit. I hope by then he has been able to rebuild his rep. Would like to meet him and see the suit, etc. Hope you are able to make it!! One of my friends who has yet to post here (Grrr) is working on his classic Cyber Leader so at least 2 of us classic types will be there. Soo many photo ops in the works this year, especially if we can get a few cybermen!
